to Touchstone Pottery’s website. We are a small (7 person) craft company based in DeWitt, Michigan. We hand-make jewelry made of porcelain clay. The processe we use is unique… we are the only place in the world producing items this way.  We hope you enjoy what you see.
    The processes we use were developed over 25 years ago by George Dear in Scotland.  George partnered with husband and wife Don and Trina Davenport of Nova Scotia, Canada, and in 1990 licensed them to make and sell items using his process for North America. Paul Hartlieb partnered with the Davenports as a distributor for the U.S. and in 2003 purchased their business.  Now Paul and George collaborate on a regular basis, developing new designs and products.  The Artwork of our Celtic line includes illustrations of George, Trina, and others.
